Curious Minds at Work
Students embarked on an exploration of geology through the Rock Shapes and Rock Textures activity, observing the distinctive features of different rocks and discovering how natural processes contribute to their formation.
Creativity and scientific reasoning came together in the Weight Balance with Stones activity, where students constructed simple weighing machines using paper cups and thread to investigate weight, balance, and measurement through experimentation.
The fascinating world of electronics came alive as students assembled basic electrical circuits, identified electronic components, and explored how electrical connections enable current to flow and power different components.
A deeper understanding of technology emerged as students explored microcontrollers, familiarising themselves with the functions of different pins and discovering how these can be used to connect and control electronic components in innovative projects.
The month culminated in a stimulating range of STEAM experiences that nurtured curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, empowering students to apply scientific and technological concepts through practical learning.
